I like this image a lot, because it shows all the different colors you can find in October. I walked some hundred meters down the valley to take this shot, unfortunately the sun illuminated only the highest point of the fields and not the valley itself.

I climbed on some rocks in the water to get a good composition but I had to wait for some clouds to move in front of the sun before taking this shot, because of the high contrast otherwise.

This was truly one of the finest sunrise I've seen so far. The rising fog was illuminated by the morning sun and created an impressive light show.

One of my rare photos which I took free hand without a tripod. That one was shot on a beautiful boat cruise at Milford Sound. The captain steered the nose of the boat directly into a big waterfall and the sun created incredible rainbows which you could walk into. My camera got really wet but it was worth the fun ;-)
I could image that this spectacle is really seldom, because Milford Sound has about 300 days of rain in one year - however, I enjoyed every second there!
